Elizabeth Cencini





Artist Bio:

Elizabeth Cencini is a native Houstonian and student at the University of Houston. She is seeking a degree in Painting. She has studied art in various locations in Florence, Italy. While a student at Accademia del Giglio and Libera Accademia di Belle Arti, she learned techniques such as Italian fresco, Roman Byzantine mosaics, figure drawing and the master techniques in oil painting. She has also studied with internationally known Master Artist Franco Rossi of Arezzo, Italy.

She is most notably known for her Vespa-scooter art collection that was on view in April 2008 at the Italian Cultural Center, and also at the local Starbucks on Montrose and Hawthorn in May. She is also a long time community activist, from artist educator in the outreach programs for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, to helping out with charities and fundraising from Via Colori in support of the Center for Hearing and Speech, to Art for Aids, and Cancer Fighters of America. She is always looking to give back because the most important thing you can give is yourself.
